Let’s join together so that striking workers will be able to handle financial emergencies. Being on strike has put an immense amount of financial stress on striking Verizon employees and their families. Not only have they gone without a paycheck for over 22 days, but last weekend Verizon cut off their health care coverage. Verizon would rather try to intimidate these brave men and women by cutting off access to health care for their families than negotiate a fair contract. By going on strike, Verizon employees are taking a stand for all of us. They are joining together to say people who work for a living ought to be able to have a good life and a good future. Their courage and sacrifice is an inspiration. The Verizon Striking Families Solidarity Fund provides help to families who are facing extraordinary hardship.
